Bio/Contact

I bring order to chaos and turn carbon into diamonds.

I've been writing since I was five and editing since I was eleven. Started from the bottom (idle poetry and reviewing conference papers for my economist father), now we here: an MFA in Creative Writing and launching successful communications and storytelling programs for design companies, NGOs, and institutes of higher education.

First generation American who can often be seen in a neon dress and cowboy boots, headed for the nearest airport.

I bring order to chaos, turn carbon into diamonds.

I've been writing since I was five,  editing since I was eleven. Started from the bottom (idle poetry and reviewing conference papers for my economist father), now we here: 9 years of experience launching successful communications and storytelling programs for design companies, NGOs, and institutes of higher education. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College, and have lived and worked on five continents.

My approach to storytelling is deeply rooted in empathetic conversation. What's at the core of the project, person, organization, or research finding in front of me? Once I've got that condensed to its essence, I expand it to fill the allotted space - be that a longform essay, documentary radio piece, or quick burst of copywriting.

Writing and radio are my native tongues, but I've got working proficiency in photography, social media, and design. I excel at working with small groups, leading efforts, and offering coaching around the art of a good story. I build structures, on both the front and back ends of the pieces I produce - I offer not only creative content, but also systems to track, share, and reuse that content in as many ways as possible. My job is similar to a tailor's: if I've done it properly, you'll never see the seams.
